હવામાન વિભાગના વૈજ્ઞાનિક અભિમન્યુ ચૌહાણે આગામી સાત દિવસ દરમિયાન ગુજરાતમાં વરસાદની આગાહી અંગે અપડેટ્ આપ્યું છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે, આ દરમિયાન વરસાદના અણસાર જોવા મળી રહ્યા છે. જેમાં મુખ્યત્વે ચોથા દિવસની વાત કરીએ તો, ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં વરસાદની ગતિ વધશે. જોકે, અહીં સામાન્ય વરસાદ જોવા મળી શકે છે.
તેમણે દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં વરસાદની આગાહી કરતાં જણાવ્યું કે, વડોદાર, ભરૂચ, છોટાઉદેપરુ, નર્મદા સિવાય દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના મોટાભાગના ભાગોમાં હળવાથી સામાન્ય વરસાદની સંભાવના છે.
સૌરાષ્ટ્રના દરિયાકાંઠાના વિસ્તારો પોરબંદર, જૂનાગગઢ, અમરેલી, ભાવનગર, બોટાદ, દિવ, દ્વારાકા, ગીર સોમનાથમાં સામાન્ય વરસાદની સંભાવના છે. અહીં આગામી પાંચ દિવસ દરમિયાન સામાન્ય વરસાદની સંભાવના છે. જ્યારે કચ્છમાં બે દિવસ દરમિયાન આઇસોલેટ રહેવાની સંભાવના છે, જે બાદ અહીં સૂકું રહેવાની શક્યતા વ્યક્ત કરવામાં આવી છે.
ચોથા દિવસે એટલે કે 8મી સપ્ટેમ્બરે ભારે વરસાદની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે. આ દરમિયાન દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના અમુક ભાગોમાં ભારે વરસાદની સંભાવના છે. જેમાં સુરત, ડાંગ, નવસારી, વલસાડી, તાપી, દમણમાં ભારે વરસાદની શક્યતા છે.
અમદાવાદ શહેરની વાત કરીએ તો આગામી બે-ત્રણ દિવસ વરસાદની કોઇ શક્યતા નથી. જ્યારે 8મી તારીખે સામાન્ય વરસાદની શક્યતા છે. ગાંધીનગરમાં પણ આવી જ સ્થિતિ જોવા મળશે.
નોંધનીય છે કે, ગુજરાતમાં અત્યાર સુધીનો સરેરાશ વરસાદ જોઈએ તો રાજ્યમાં સૌથી ઓછો વરસાદ મધ્ય પૂર્વ ગુજરાત નોંધાયો છે. મધ્ય પૂર્વ ગુજરાતમાં 66.19 ટકા વરસાદ થયો છે.
ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં સરેરાશ 67.96 ટકા જ વરસાદ નોંધાયો છે. કચ્છમાં સરેરાશ 136.19 ટકા વરસાદ નોંધાયો છે. સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં સરેરાશ 110.10 ટકા વરસાદ નોંધાયો છે. દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં 73.64 ટકા વરસાદ નોંધાયો છે. જોકે, આ વરસાદ પણ જુલાઈ મહિનામાં થયો છે. ઓગસ્ટ મહિનામાં માત્ર 10 ટકા પણ વરસાદ નોંધાયો નથી.

Meteorological Department scientist Abhimanyu Chauhan has given an update regarding the forecast of rainfall in Gujarat during the next seven days. While forecasting rainfall in South Gujarat, he said that except Vadodar, Bharuch, Chhota Depur, Narmada, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in most parts of South Gujarat.
There is a possibility of normal rain in the coastal areas of Saurashtra, Porbandar, Junaggarh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Diu, Dwarka, Gir Somnath. There is a possibility of normal rain here during the next five days. Whereas there is a possibility of isolation in Kutch for two days, after which it is predicted that it will remain dry.
Heavy rain has been predicted on the fourth day i.e. 8th September. During this period, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of South Gujarat. In which there is a possibility of heavy rain in Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsadi, Tapi, Daman.
If we talk about Ahmedabad city, there is no possibility of rain for the next two-three days. While there is a possibility of normal rain on the 8th. Similar situation will be seen in Gandhinagar also.
It is noteworthy that if we look at the average rainfall in Gujarat so far, the least rainfall in the state has been recorded in Central East Gujarat. Central East Gujarat has received 66.19 percent rainfall.
North Gujarat has received only 67.96 percent average rainfall. Kutch has received an average of 136.19 percent rainfall. Saurashtra has received an average of 110.10 percent rainfall.
